This is a photograph I took back last summer in Vicksburg National Military Park in Vicksburg Mississippi. Having some extra time on my hands the last couple of days I dug into the archives and found the first photo that is labelled Lloyd Tilghman. I thought it might be fun to use 21st century technology to recreate some 19th century processing. Using OnOne’s Perfect Photo B&W 8 and their presets of 19th century the other three are the results. They are Daguerreotype Hand Colored, Gum Bichromate and Calotype Paper Negative.
FYI – Brigadier General Tilgman served in the Confederate Army and was killed at the battle of Champions Hill.
