Nope Not Me

Not-Me-web

There were several scenic overlooks at Beavers Bend, the views were spectacular, except I have one small problem. I’M TERRIFIED OF HEIGHTS! Unlike this person there is no way I could walk out and enjoy this view, I was nervous standing on the road!!! She obviously is a lot braver than I and I have no problem admitting my fear. Have a good weekend everyone.

  1. gorgeous view…I too have issues with heights…I won’t even stay in a high rise hotel over 10 stories…having said that my first time driving to Florida I was terrified of driving over Jelico Mountain, in Tennessee, but you know after 7 or so trips there and back I don’t have the same fear…there is something to desensitization… just saying! 🙂

      • I feel the buildings moving as well, so I understand…I’ve not come across many people other than myself who can feel the movement…I also have an uncomfortable time in an air plane, especially when there is turbulence, I’m sure you do as well…I’ve had a motion balance issue for approx. 8 years now which all this stems from…yes I do think it is all in the brain, literally, but it is real when happening… 🙂

  2. I always thought I was afraid of heights. But after being bothered about being on a 15 foot high roof, not bothered by on planes at 30,000+ feet, and only bothered by mountains in certain situations (walking along cliffs is something I would not typically do), I realized I had a fear of edges or, I supposed more accurately, a fear of falling. Since it all made sense to me so I stopped thinking much about it.

    • I think you may be right, it’s more I’m afraid somehow I will trip and fall over the edge. Hadn’t thought about a fear of edges but that makes more sense.
