Abandoned 3

I went with this image to suit the weather, just gray and gloomy. After several days of sunny weather, it has now turned back to cloudy, misty and cold. This house sits almost in the in the center of a small town south of Tyler. Behind it is where I photographed the old truck, that I posted back in February. The front porch has two front doors, lots of old houses were built like this. One door enters the main house while another goes into a bedroom. My grandparents house is of that design.

      • I wonder the same… they make you wonder about the people, and all the memories that make up the house — how many were happy, how many were sad; why did it become abandoned? I don’t know if all photographers do this, but, I know a lot of us tend to see object (like the abandoned house), and, we sort of attach human qualities to it… if that makes sense?

      • I’m glad it made sense. I’ve said that to a few other people, and they just look at me like I’m deranged. 🙂
