So on New Years Day I am sitting in a hotel in rain soaked Galveston Texas, it’s been a gray overcast couple of days with anywhere from a light mist to severe thunderstorms, but I was able to work on a lot of pics. Fortunately nature took care of these two pics as I didn’t have to do anything to them.
I had been wanting to photograph this tree but kept putting off as I was waiting for a really colorful sunrise, opportunity finally knocked last week. The loneliness of the tree is what I had been attracted too. East Texas does not have many open spaces like this, the area is largely wooded, I had seen several pictures of a single tree on the prairies and always thought they were beautiful.
This was taken just off of the side of the road on a large farm just north of Bullard TX. The top image information is – shutter was at 1/250, F-stop was at F9, ISO set to 400, the second image information is – shutter 1/320, F-stop at F9, ISO set to 400
